Update on Krypt 24/7

Hope everyone had a good Christmas, I know I've been away for a bit but if you've heard the internet station lately, you know what I've been doing.

Hopefully you have a new internet radio station to listen to ("tune" just doesn't sound right when referring to web radi0) in 2012. I've had the Krypt up and running lately in testing mode. It's gone smoothly (despite running the server through my ISP and network) but there are a few kinks to work out. The phone apps won't work all the time but if you're on a computer it loads fine. In the next couple of days I'll be loading up the music scheduler, getting an automation system and firing up the Krypt full time, with no dead air between songs and a bit more flow to the music.

Expect the Krypt to be more off than on in the next couple weeks as I fine tune things on the computer that houses the Krypt, but I'll still leave it on when I'm working/sleeping/working.

Operation Krypt 24/7

So I haven't blogged in a while. Work kind of does that to you but I'm going to give a quick update on what I call "Operation Krypt 24/7"

Operation Krypt 24/7 has been an ongoing project of mine, that I've amped up recently. It's basically my long term goal of starting up an internet radio station again. I started the Krypt in January 2011 on WMHB with the long term goal of making that little 2 hour show a full time 168 hours a week station that plays exactly what I play on the radio show Monday nights: classic hard rock, alternative rock and harder edge pop stuff from the 60's through the early 2000's.

At this point I'm testing the station at http://kentskrypt.listen2myradio.com/ right now it's not available with any apps, no iPhone app, no Blackberry and it's not available on the Android Marketplace, but it's my goal. If it's up and running now, I'm playing exactly what I want the station to play when it's a full time operation.

I'll have a movie review up soon and more updates, I haven't forgot about this place, just been busy rockin' the tunes on the radio and trying to open up the Krypt a little more.
